Broccoli concentrate is a dietary supplement made from broccoli. It provides a standardized amount of glucoraphanin, a glucosinolate, without the fiber and many other nutrients found in the whole vegetable. The body needs the enzyme myrosinase to convert glucoraphanin into sulforaphane. Many standard concentrates do not contain active myrosinase, limiting sulforaphane production. Some formulations address this by adding active myrosinase (from daikon radish sprouts, for example) or by using a processing method that keeps the enzyme intact.

People often take broccoli concentrate to support phase II detoxification pathways. A typical routine is once or twice daily with a meal. High glucosinolate intake may affect thyroid function, particularly when iodine levels are low. The supplement contains vitamin K, which can reduce the effect of blood-thinning medications like warfarin.
