Sweet Orange Oil comes from the peel of the sweet orange fruit. Steam-distilled versions contain fewer photosensitizing furanocoumarins than cold-pressed oil. Because of that, steam-distilled oil is often chosen for topical blends when you expect sun exposure.
People diffuse it for the fresh, uplifting scent. You can also add it to a carrier oil for massage or put it into cosmetic and cleaning preparations. Always dilute this concentrated oil before it touches skin.
Do a patch test on a small area before wider use. Never swallow the oil unless a qualified professional directs you. Keep it away from eyes, mucous membranes, and children.
